Garden 101

Spring has sprung here in Oregon, and it’s officially garden season. As an amateur (but enthusiastic!) gardener, it’s one of my favorite times of year. The sun is shining, and you get to spend time planting beautiful things…what’s not to love?

We loved these pruners and shears so much last year, we had to bring them back.

Perfect for both garden beds and houseplants, they make it easy to keep everything looking fresh and thriving. Just snip away any dead or overgrown bits, and your plants will thank you.
The loveliest seeds for your garden this season.
Plant them for yourself, or gift them to someone special -either way, they’re a delight. Not sure where to begin? Nasturtiums are a perfect pick.
They’re quick, easy to grow, and bring a vibrant pop of color to any space.

Bonus: they’re edible, too. Toss them into salads or appetizers for a fresh, peppery kick.
In my opinion, one of the trickiest parts of growing your own food isn’t actually growing it - it’s figuring out how to use it all. I mean, what do you even do with 20 zucchinis or 100 cherry tomatoes? Because I genuinely don’t know.
That’s why I always find it helpful to have a few good gardening-focused cookbooks on hand. They push me to get a little more creative with my harvest and try new ways of preparing what’s in season - because let’s be honest, you can only eat zucchini noodles so many times before you’re completely over it.
