Retail Associate - Saturday and Sunday Role (2 roles)
Listing 1:
Sunday - 8 hours.
9.30am - 5.30pm
We are hiring for a permanent Sunday one day a week lead retail associate role at The Yo Store. 9.30am - 5.30pm.
As a Lead Retail Associate, you will work with the manager and staff to represent The Yo Store through sales, attitude and knowledge. This is a customer facing position, and we are looking for someone who has the ability and desire to embrace a sales focused role.
This is a one day a week position, ideal for someone who is comfortable jumping into a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Flexibility is key, as the store frequently updates and changes. Training would start immediately.
Hours:
- Sunday 9.30am- 5.30pm
- Potential for extra shift coverage or extended hours come holiday season.
- Preferred: One year of retail experience - not essential but ideal.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Customer Service: Maintain a welcoming and professional store environment. This includes building strong relationships with our regular customers, and creating a welcoming environment for new customers.
Team Communication: Maintain consistent communication with your manager or lead retail associate throughout your shift. Take initiative by asking questions, sharing updates, and seeking feedback to ensure smooth operations.
Brand Knowledge: Familiarizing yourself with the brands we carry, and enthusiastically sharing that knowledge with our customers.
You must (IDEALLY!):
- Have retail experience. Ideally with a similar small business.
- Familiarity with Shopify POS a plus, but not required.
- Holiday availability (if it falls on your scheduled work day)
- Be able to work consistent shifts.
- Holiday black out days. Time off during these time periods is not impossible, but is considered only if sufficient shift coverage can be arranged.
- Have excellent retail and relational skills
- Have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Work well within a team and alone
- A good understanding of small businesses and is able to adapt when needed.
- The ability to master multiple systems with many layers related to our point of sale system, inventory tracking, pulling goods for online orders, customer communication, etc.

As a Retail Associate, you will work with the manager and lead retail associate to represent The Yo Store through sales, attitude and knowledge. This is a customer facing position, and we are looking for someone who has the ability and desire to embrace a sales focused role.
This is a very part-time position, ideal for someone who is comfortable jumping into a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Flexibility is key, as the store frequently updates and changes. Since you will be scheduled for one shift per week with limited hours, you're ability to adapt week-to-week is essential.
Training would start immediately.

- Temporary position until end of year
- Saturday 12-6pm
- Potential for extra shift coverage or extended hours come holiday season.
