We’re looking for an experienced, friendly and confident Lead Retail Associate to join our team at The Yo Store.

This is a great role for someone who loves independent retail, genuinely enjoys working with customers and is ready to take on more responsibility on the sales floor.

You’ll work closely with our Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, helping with the day-to-day running of the store while being a strong, experienced presence on the floor.

We’re especially looking for someone who wants to become a real part of our small team and is looking for a consistent, long-term retail position.

THE ROLE

This position is 4 days per week / 32 hours, and must include at least one weekend day.

As our Lead Retail Associate, you’ll be very customer-facing while also helping keep the store organized, stocked, looking great and running smoothly.

You’ll also be someone the rest of the retail team can turn to when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager isn’t on the floor.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating a warm, friendly and knowledgeable experience for every customer
• Confidently selling across kids, women’s, home and gifts
• Taking ownership of the sales floor and helping the team work toward daily sales goals
• Opening and closing the store
• Supporting and guiding other retail associates during shifts
• Helping train and support newer team members
• Keeping the store beautifully merchandised, stocked and organized
• Receiving, pricing and putting out new product
• Restocking and monitoring inventory on the sales floor
• Supporting merchandising changes and new product launches
• Handling customer questions, returns and day-to-day issues confidently
• Making sure daily store tasks and checklists are completed
• Communicating store, customer or staffing issues to the Store Manager or ASM

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’d love to meet someone who:

• Has previous retail experience, ideally in an independent or specialty retail environment
• Is confident with customers and genuinely enjoys selling
• Is reliable, organized and proactive
• Naturally notices what needs to be done and gets on with it
• Has a great eye for merchandising and presentation
• Is comfortable taking responsibility and leading a shift
• Works well as part of a small team
• Is calm and capable when the store gets busy
• Is interested in the brands and products we carry
• Is looking for a consistent, long-term position
• Can commit to 4 days per week, including at least one weekend day
